About Aston Eyre church

Our church has no dedication - it is simply called 'Aston Eyre Church', and is a 'chapel of ease' of St Gregory's Morville.
The church was built in 1132 for the owners of Aston Hall, which was converted to agricultural use in the 18thC and is now a ruin. The church sits in the centre of this small hamlet, 5 miles from Bridgnorth. We have five working farms and two smallholdings in the parish, totalling some 24 households. There has never been a graveyard, but the flower bed at the east end of the church is available for strewing ashes.
Vehicle access to the church is with permission to use the drive belonging to the owners of Church House; pedestrian access is up steps from the road. Between us we keep the churchyard tidy and the grass cut.
Our services are 9:30am Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday monthly, and 10:30am Common Worship on the 4th Sunday monthly.
